Relative & Fictive Kin Recruitment
The purpose of this initiative is to partner with localities to secure relative/fictive kin placements for older youth in congregate care and non-relative foster care.
Overview
Our primary goal is to place the child with relatives within 90 days of the case opening. This program is funded thanks to a grant generously provided by the Virginia Department of Social Services.
Who We Serve
Youth must be:
- Under the age of 18
- Currently in congregate care
- In non-relative foster care for 12 months and at risk of aging out of care.
