Faith Partners
Since our founding by the Virginia Conference of the Methodist Church in 1900, faith groups have played a critical role in Shineforth’s mission to be the unwavering champion that every child deserves. We welcome the opportunity to partner with churches, congregations, and religious organizations of all denominations to help us fulfill our vision of strengthening humanity, one child at a time.
PARTNERING WITH SHINEFORTH
Faith-Based Support Locally & Statewide
In 2025, more than 100 churches, congregations, and faith groups from throughout Virginia provided direct support to the children and families we serve at Shineforth. Faith partners make tremendous contributions to several different programs and service areas and have built lasting relationships with each of our eight offices across Virginia (Edinburg, Farmville, Fredericksburg, Lynchburg, Northern Virginia, Richmond, South Hill, Virginia Beach).

The annual Shineforth Church Offering provides much-needed financial support for children and families. Please see below for digital resources.
Foster Parents
Children deserve safe and loving families. Shineforth not only equips foster parents to open their homes, but we partner with faith groups to raise awareness about the need.
