Shineforth was founded as a Methodist orphanage in Richmond in 1900. Today, we offer over a dozen programs & services in Virginia.

At Shineforth, we strive to meet people where they are. That’s why we serve from eight locations across the commonwealth and offer an array of programs, services, and partnerships, including specialized education, residential treatment for youth, and foster care and adoption. Our educators, therapists, and mental health professionals collaborate with children and families to develop personalized paths toward healing and stability.
